Showing early support for Appleton Assembly Candidate

 

Appleton, WI - United States Senator Russ Feingold will be in Appleton on Saturday, March 15 to support the campaign of Penny Bernard Schaber for state Assembly.

 

Feingold, who received 56 percent of the Appleton vote in his 2004 Senate re-election, often lends his support to candidates running for the Wisconsin legislature.

 

“I began my political career running for the state legislature. I’ve knocked on thousands of doors and know what it takes to win a grass-roots campaign,” Feingold said. “I believe that Penny Bernard Schaber has the energy and grass-roots support to win this seat in November.”

 

Bernard Schaber had pledged to run a door to door, grass-roots campaign and has already recruited an army of volunteers to help spread her message throughout Appleton.

 

“I’m honored to have Senator Feingold’s help at this early stage of the campaign,” Bernard Schaber said. “Russ is known for his independence, backbone and ability to bring people together. He does a great job of standing up for the people of Wisconsin.”

 

Penny Bernard Schaber will kick off her 2008 campaign at Noon on Saturday, March 15 at the Stone Cellar Brew Pub, 1004 S. Olde Street in Appleton.
